What is the Buy Maryland Cybersecurity Tax Credit?
The BMC Tax Credit is designed to help small Maryland businesses protect themselves against the growing risk of cyberthreats. If you qualify, you can claim a tax credit of 50% on the net purchase price of cybersecurity services and technologies bought from a Qualified Seller like us.
- Benefit: 50% tax credit
- Cap: Up to $50,000 in tax credits per year (on $100,000 of qualifying purchases)
Is my business eligible?
To qualify for this credit, your company must meet the following criteria:
- You have fewer than 50 employees in Maryland.
- You are required to file an income tax return in Maryland.
- You purchase cybersecurity technologies or services from a Qualified Maryland Cybersecurity Seller (that’s us!).
